As corporate responsibility issues fill the headlines, corporate directors are coming under greater scrutiny. Directors of health care organizations have important responsibilities that need to be met relating to corporate compliance requirements unique to the health care industry. One of these requirements includes the process by which the organization evaluates and responds to suspected compliance violations. Recognizing this, the HVA Board of Directors instituted the HVA Corporate Compliance HOTLINE.
The Corporate Compliance HOTLINE includes both a local phone number along with an 800 Number published within the alliance facilities that gives the employees, families and visitors a means of reporting a suspected compliance issues. This message may be anonymous or not. The message is recorded on voice mail, documented on paper then reported to the individual corporate compliance officer at the noted organization. The corporate compliance officer then follows through at their organization.
Use of the HVA Corporate Compliance HOTLINE is available to all HVA Member Organizations and any other organization for a yearly fee. For more information, contact HVA at 814-833-1609.
